SAVANNAH WAY ART TRAIL - October 2022

In October 2022 art work installations were undertaken in Georgetown, Normanton, Karumba, Burketown and Doomadgee - the culmination of community consultations and the creative minds and artists engaged in the project.

This project was through and with Manning Daly Art, Savannah Way Public Art Trail Project - CQ University.

With the installation of the artworks there has been extremely positive response from the local communities and visitors and photo opportunities abound.  ABC North West Queensland posted further images and details and you can see for yourselves on this link - ABC North West Queensland Savannah Way Art Trail

If anyone has photos they are happy to share on this site - please contact us via info@karumba.qld.au - see how creative you can be.

The photos below are with thanks from local Leanne Crossland and are from Normanton - which depict the artist impression of the local water lilies, wetland birds and the waters of the wetlands - and Karumba which is of the brolgas dancing.  The link above also has the images from Georgetown, Burketown and Doomadgee.  We look forward to receiving and posting more images so get to it and start snapping!
